Defi-Link Advance Control Unit
This is the control centre for all the Defi Link BF (Black Face) Meters, and allows the user to set up warning indication, record, playback and illumination for each gauge. All gauge sensors (supplied with each of the gauges) are connected to this central unit, which is the base of the “Daisy Chain” system. Easy touch buttons and bright illumination make this unit easy to navigate and read.
Daisy Chain System
The daisy chain system has been designed by Defi to simplify the process of installing and wiring up all of its gauges. The control unit will need to be wired up to a power source, which will then be further distributed to all the gauges. The sensor from every gauge is then connected to the control unit simplifying the routing of various cables.
A single link cable is then run from the control box to the first gauge, and the additional nearby gauges are connected via a shorter link cable. If gauges are mounted in two distant positions (on the Speedo & A-pillar), then an extended link cable will be required (available separately).
