The MINI R53 K&N Short Ram Typhoon® Air Intake System is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed for performance and show. The mandrel-bent intake tube has been designed for smooth laminar flow, providing impressive airflow capability and will increase horsepower and torque. The kit comes with an oversized High-Flow conical air filter designed to provide increased surface area and dust capacity.
The extra surface area of the performance air filter provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard K&N O/E replacement filter. The oversize air filter features an oil-impregnated, cotton-gauze/screen construction, which also captures more dirt increasing the service life before cleaning, is required (up to 100,000 miles) This induction kit comes with a choice of polished silver or a polished red finish.
