Koni Special Active Sport Suspension Dampers - Gen 3 MINI F55/F56/F57
Following the success of Generation 1 and 2, Koni Special Active Dampers are available for all the Generation models to improve handling and comfort. Suitable for the all F55 5 door hatch, F56 3 door hatch and F57 convertible without active damping control.
The Special Active damping system works on hydraulics where valves open and closes at varying levels depending on the speed and size of impact to adjust the damper and an optimum balance between comfort and handling.
For example, when driving steadily on the motorway, cornering and loading is fairly constant meaning that the damper is in it's most compliant state giving its most comfortable setting and absorbing bumps removing the crashy feeling that can be experienced in the MINI. When driving becomes more dynamic, the damper firms up improving handling characteristics.
The dampers can be used with your standard MINI springs or lowering springs to further aid the sporty feel and look of the MINI.
