Lohen High Flow Fuel Pump Kit - MINI R53
The Lohen High Flow Fuel Pump is required when injectors have been upgraded to above JCW size. This pump comes ready to replace the original in-tank MINI pump as a direct replacement.
The original MINI fuel pump will not be able to main consistent fuel pressure in the rail when large injectors are run at high duty cycle. This can result in a pressure drop in the rail, increased injector duty cycles and potentially the engine running lean at high RPM/Load. We noticed the pressure drop when testing the original pump with popular 550cc injectors on a car equipped with 15% pulley. The Lohen High Flow Pump has been tested in house with 605cc injectors and has successfully delivered consistent pressure and flow to the rail at max load.
Please note - If you are running high flow injectors and custom mapping, you may need to have your map adjusted following the installation of this pump.
Due to the age of all R53 we strongly recommend a change of fuel filter when installing this pump to guarantee the best possible fuel flow.
