Lohen WX3 Crate Engine for MINI W11 R53/R52

The Lohen WX3 Special is a big bore engine utilising a big valve ported head that develops strong power from the W11 Cooper S, JCW and GP platform.

With this engine 300BHP on the stock supercharger is within your reach!

The custom big bore block build uses high quality forged pistons, forged connecting rods, King Racing motorsport grade bearings and ARP Fasteners for the mains bolts.  The cylinder head used is based on the Lohen Ported Big Valve head which uses Supertech oversized valves, bronze valve guides, Supertech beehive springs and retainers and is then CNC ported to open up the inlet and exhaust ports with high accuracy to maximise gas flow & power gains. 

The engine is supplied with a Newman Cams High Lift PH4 track cam to maximise valve lift and durations while maintaining a manageable idle and is fixed into place with ARP head bolts, new timing chain kits, oil pump head gasket and ARP cam sprocket bolt.

To install and run the engine there are some additional suggestions and requirements:

• A standalone ECU, such as the ECU Masters EMU Black to correctly tune and configure the higher capacity engine
  
• High flow injectors - we suggest the Bosch 550cc injectors
• A Lohen High flow fuel pump to feed the higher flow injectors
• An engine installation kit kit as the Lohen W11 Crate Engine Installation Kit

The bigger capacity nature of the Lohen WX3 engine, with the correct tuning and ancillary components ensures a significantly higher performance output! We have worked extensively to validate the concept proving excellent results. A well published example of this was with the Drivetribe team, where we changed the standard W11 engine to our BX3 Special motor, installed 550cc injectors, the ECU Master EMU Black and tuned. The car was already fitted with a Lohen High Flow fuel pump and had a performance intercooler, Lohen Supercharger pulley (15% reduced size) and performance manifold.
