AEM Air Intake Induction System - N14 MINI Cooper S & JCW (Gen 2)
AEM are one of the world's leading performance air intake manufacturers. Founded in the USA over 20 years ago, AEM were one of the first manufacturers who designed performance aftermarket induction systems with specific tube lengths and diameters to take advantage of pressure waves in the inlet tract, and to begin producing induction kits to maximise the cold air entering the combustion chamber to maximise power increases. This quality and perfected design is certainly visible in their MINI intake kit.
The quality of the AEM intake kit is fantastic and that together with the superb power gains is what makes AEM a great induction choice for the serious MINI tuner, the K&N air filter included traps dust and debris through an extremely durable synthetic media, the filter incorporates a metal screen on the outside that enhances airflow and aids in keeping the pleating in the proper position.
In-house dyno testing on a 2012 JCW showed a 21.4bhp gain. Please see the dyno graph in the images.

- Standard JCW airbox with ITG filter - 208.4bhp (4.4bhp gained)

The AEM has been designed specifically for the N14-engined R56 MINI to deliver cool air to the K&N air filter supplied, unlike any other R56 intake kit the AEM comes with an air duct, which mounts, to the bonnet making the bonnet scoop functional after removing the plastic grill. The AEM kit will give your MINI a slightly louder growl from the engine, accompanied by an improved throttle response.

- This kit will only fit MINI with N14 engines.
- N14 engines are present on Cooper S manufactured from 2007 to July 2010 and John Cooper Works manufactured from 2007 - 2012
- This kit is currently only compatible with the AEM strut brace.
