The Forge Motorsport Front Mount Intercooler is a high performance intercooler that fits all MINI F54, F55 and F56 Cooper S models. Recommended for mapped MINI’s used for fast road or track use to get the best performance from your engine whilst maintaining safe air intake temperatures.
This Forge uprated front mount intercooler (FMIC) for the MINI Generation 3 has a stepped bar and plate intercooler core construction to maximise the surface area. The Forge intercooler has a larger frontal area than the standard MINI intercooler by 63% and a 57% total volume increase, this increase means an improved cooling capacity. Cooler boosted air from this FMIC means a large volume of air (denser air) can be forced into the engine, improving combustion leading to improved performance.
During in-house testing The Forge MINI F56 Cooper S intercooler showed a power increase of 10 BHP and torque was consistently improve throughout the rev range. Inlet air temperatures were decreased by 13 degrees C over stock at 6.5K rpm.
