Helix Autosport 4 Paddle Drive Plate (Gen 2)
Drive plates are wearable components and, if you have a Helix clutch kit installed, we can offer a replacement if yours is worn. These drive plates will suit Helix Autosport clutch and flywheel kits for the MINI.
The drive plate is 226mm in diameter and rated to approximately 295lb/ft of torque (401Nm) when used with the Helix pressure plate.
Cerametallic material is used in the four pads as its friction properties are retained at much higher temperatures than that of the organic material.
The paddle style plate can be used in road applications where the engine torque requires, however, unlike the organic version it will be less smooth to engage and prone to juddering upon take up. If a paddle plate is required for road applications we would suggest a 6 paddle as this is smoother to engage.
