
Lohen MINI B48 Forged Crate Engine Build - Config 2
Lohen's B48 Config 2 Forged Crate Engine is the most comprehensive crate engine Lohen offers for the B48 powered MINI. Suitable for Cooper S or JCW owners who want the absolute best performance and reliability from their MINI. Mainly suited to owners who use their F Series MINI for track or race applications whilst running much higher power levels than standard.
Supertech Forged Pistons for the F series MINI are strong and lightweight, using enhanced 4032 alloy Supertech pistons have been able to withstand up to 42psi of boost without any problems. Supertech pistons feature a 'phosphate dry lubricant' coating that protects the piston rings from 'micro-welding' and improves lubricant on the cylinder area.
The Supertech Forged conrods we supply in this Config 2 package have an H beam construction and are made from very high quality 4340 alloys, these conrods are very high wearing and will withstand much higher power levels than what the standard engine can handle.
The Supertech inlet and exhaust valves included in this engine build package are very heat resistant offering better durability and reliability for remapped B48 engines. The valves provide optimal gas flow and due to being slightly lighter than OEM, offer a performance improvement too.
The Supertech spring kit found in this Lohen Config 2 engine gives B48 owners the ability to extend the rev range of their MINI whilst maintaining reliability at higher than stock rpm ranges due to the strength and durability of these springs.

- Customers original block, head and original parts are re-used unless listed
- Crate engines are delivered timed and dry of fluids
- Crate engines are delivered without ancillaries
- Your rocker cover and sump must be supplied
- Additional charges will apply if the original parts that aren't listed as replaced need replacing (such as crank, head, block etc).
Lohen Crate Engines are supplied as timed-up bare units without a sump, oil pump, rocker cover or any other bolt-on ancillaries. The engines are therefore shipped dry and require final assembly and fluids prior to installation and start.
If required, Lohen can supply a fully built engine for an additional charge. We also offer professional in-house installation and running in service at our workshop.
Exchange Donor Unit Surcharge
Lohen will apply a surcharge to every engine sold unless a donor unit is supplied and it is deemed to be in rebuildable condition.
