Lohen offer 6 different lengths of bolt, 25mm, 28mm, 32mm, 36mm, 40mm and 48mm all of which come with thread size M12 x 1.5. The head of these bolts is slightly recessed meaning that it is narrower than the original MINIlocking wheel bolts. This is an advantage when using them with aftermarket wheels as sometimes the original items can be too wide and the key will foul on the wheel body, not allowing you to tighten the bolt fully.
The standard MINI Gen 1 length found on the R50, R52 and R53 is 25mm. Longer bolts are required when installing some aftermarket wheels but most commonly when installing wheel spacers. The length of the bolt should be 25 + the size of the wheel spacer. For example when using a 15mm wheel spacer 25 + 15 = 40. In this case select the 40mm wheel bolt. A difference of 2-3mm is usually acceptable.
